I’d like to begin by expressing my best wishes to the mothers in our presence. If you are a mother, if you know a mother or if you know anyone who ever had a mother—I wish you all a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Regarding the Mother of all, I find this quote quite apropos: “The reason the universe is eternal is that it does not live for itself; it gives life to others as it transforms.”

So said philosopher Lao Tzu, author of the seminal Tao Te Ching. It seems quite a long time since he walked among us, but by universal standards it was mere moments ago.

Time takes on new meaning when we ponder our existence with respect to the whole. Awareness of the timeless within then forms an empowering image of who we truly are.

As to pursuits of self-awareness, empowerment and image, I like this approach: A genius lives within me, the universal subconscious mind that oversees all I am and all I do.

Many of us have employed this colossal concept to create a new and improved self-image, one with the gravitas to see us through our darkest hours, and deliver us unto light.

We realize that we are much more than we think, even more than we can think. There is power within far beyond what we imagine; we are dynamic creators with more innate talents and resources than we will ever deplete.

The body is a universe in itself, made of galaxies of atoms, elements and systems—and Universal Mind is the central radiating nucleus around which it all revolves.

Let this become the dominant image you hold about yourself, and observe with wonderment as healing and positive growth readily occurs.

Know that at your core, you are impervious to destruction. Masters say that you are the very life force energy that animates your body, and science tells us that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Is this coincidence, or the melding of modern physics and ageless philosophy?

Consider this topic for conjecture: The Illusion of Ownership.

Eckhart writes that “…In the last moments of life, (people) recognize that while they were looking throughout their lives for a more complete sense of self, what they were really looking for had actually always been there.”

For the purpose of recovery, embrace your personal connection with the Mother of Life to reveal the marvelous symbiosis present between spiritual awareness and scientific evolution.

Love and light to you and yours –

Peter
